Word of Greeting

Dear Chess Friends,

We have the pleasure of welcoming you to the important triangle event of the 

• 16th ICSC Deaf Olympiad Chess,
• 4th ICSC Deaf Olympiad Ladies Chess, and also to the
• 30th ICSC Congress

We take this oportunity to inform you that there will also be taking place the 1st ICSC World Individual Blitz Deaf Chess, open to all Deaf participants who wish to take part.

Portugal is proud to have been chosen to host these events. We assure you that we will do our very best to make you feel at home in these competitions, and we will supply the chess boards. We do hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome not only a large group of players, but also other people who wish to share the good experience that we are sure that these events will provide, making them want to come back again. You will not, we are sure, be desapointed! The area where the events will take place will guarantee not only the surroundings and accompodations for the competitions, but also relaxing and cultural programs.
